MORE AFFORDABLE 50+ AUTO/RENT/HOME INSURANCE OPTIONS other than Hartford!!!

AARP,

Please offer MORE insurance company options for 50+ members, other than The Hartford!!! They are HORRIBLE, highway robber prices for seniors and don't offer savings separately for the elderly. As AARP is connected with most of the world's seniors; we require more options for our insurance needs. Don't loop seniors in with bad drivers or young adults, to price our rates in comparison. All other industries offer seniors discounts, special rates, etc... separate from the general public. The Hartford has harsh customer service, stiff and steadily rising costs, and no compassion for seniors. Why are we forced to only have Hartford for our insurance needs? That is not fair to seniors!

How on earth would a 53 year old that has never caused an accident paying almost $300 every other month for a 2018 vehicle. That is egregious, greedy and robbery against seniors!

How do we as seniors demand that AARP offer us more insurance company options for our insurance needs in our latter years? AARP is one of the most resourceful platforms for seniors, please help us with more affordable rates, as we should not be rated at the same liability of bad or young drivers. The Hartford auto and renters insurance rates are so inflated that seniors can't afford basic necessities. The average retirement or senior working class rate is well below the rates Hartford is charging so high for seniors! Can Social Security get involved, so that seniors can afford auto, home and renters insurance?

The Hartford insurance rates for seniors is a crime against humanity. AARP, please please please help your senior members with more affordable rates for our important and life saving insurance needs.

Thanks in advance.

Age is another important factor in how much you pay for full-coverage car insurance. Younger drivers are associated with higher rates of accidents and violations, so they pay more for car insurance. Our averages show Geico is often the cheapest provider for drivers of different ages.

Age Cheapest Provider* Average Annual Rate
16Erie Insurance$4,259
17*Geico$3,646
18*Geico$3,161
19*Geico$2,485
21*Geico$1,844
25Nationwide$1,663
35Nationwide$1,433
45Nationwide$1,342
55Nationwide$1,229
65*Geico$1,227
75*Geico$1,457

Interesting - I think - this is 2022 data - so your rate seems pretty much in line with this
